Fanyay iii - I laughed when this happened. Srsly. I didn't believe it for a /second/. Too insane. But your speculations about River are all quite fascinating. And oh, I do so hope she turns out to be the Master.

Either it's the most unlikely thing to happen in Who yet, meaning that the end of this arc is srs bsns or the entire situation is an illusion (to be said with waggly fingers of magic and trickery). Either way, the Sontaran's holier-than-thou smirk at the end there was priceless.

Whenever I think about River maybe being the Master/Mistress I keep imagining her alongside the extremely awesome 13th Doctor from Curse of Fatal Death and, uh, having to go lie down for a while.

...River!Mistress/Lumley!Doctor is an OTP I can get behind. For a moment I thought you meant Hugh-Grant!Doctor and that's...not so enthusing. That's less enthusing than Jim-Broadbent!Doctor.
