My Non-human Empath

Last night I walked into my romm and my dog, Nelson, followed me. First he stopped at the hallway and looked at me, I told him to come in, but he just walked up to my door as if one of those doggie electrical fences stood in his way. I told him he come in but he just stared. I walked over to him and put him into my lap, he was coy and backed away.
