Doctors

I had my regular check-up at the hospital today and the doctors advice was don't overdo it. She knows I have an essay to write and exams to prepare for, yet she still told me not to overdo it. Even she admitted that it sounded rather daft when she said it aloud. So what I want to know is why do they say these really pointless things? What possesses ( Read more... )

It's the great medical tradition of CYA - the same reason that one consultant that I used to work with could be heard telling patients 'and with this injection there's a one in 10 million chance that it will kill you'.

Means they've done their job and the paper trail is complete.

Sorry, things have been more insane than normal of late. Mum had an accident at work and has broken one hand. She's not used to needing help, I've doing all the cooking and nurturing of late and even cooked dinner for the entire family for Dad's b'day with mum angsty because she had to relinquish control of the kitchen to someone else. But dinner was fantastic, all the sprouts were eaten too! Dad is having problems with his hip and we even had a casulty trip. My essay (with yet further extension) is due on Tuesday. On the next two Tuesdays I have my actual exams (i have about 5 days revision for each!). Man problems that I have somewhat sorted, but it has been a stressful experience and we're not even together! In short I'm highly stressed and fed up and my holiday plans are going awry a bit too, but that is another rant for another time. When you are ready and desire to lose the will to live, let me know and I'll tell you that story ( ... )
