the previous wkend we had a women's retreat on sat morning till sunday noon it was fun, we were about 12 ppl our age & most of the others were about triple our age, & altho it was mostly prayers & talks we managed to have a blast together, we prepared a sketch making fun of the women: the way they treat us, the way they pray & dance... we then ( Read more... )

i find the idea of a women's retreat funny. i heard about it on the internet before. looks like u had fun though. beats what we're doing here (:Ozzzzzzzz). is the whole livening up of downtown working? i hope they keep with it until summer, but then again, there's always stuff happening in the summer. i got off school today! :P i stayed home to take care of Grace while my mom went to get a house, more like to tta7ish before anyone else did because there is a limited number of houses.

Hey "Anaf", I saw your livejournal through the Lebanese community and I thought I'd comment because I saw that you are from "Rabieh". When I lived in Lebanon that is where our house was... to be exact, we were in the Beyada area near the Jesus and Mary school. Do you have an idea where this is ?

Anyways, hope I get to talk to you sometime.

hey yeah actually i go 2 school @ J & M, how long did u live here? when & y did u leave? how's it lkike living in LA? better than here? r u coming anytime soon?

Hey anna, nice to hear from you!

I lived in lebanon until I was 4 1/2 and then we moved to Canada and then Los Angeles...when I was there I went to the IC school. And we left like many others, because of the war. And yes, I'm coming soon (like every year) from June until August. But we don't usually stay at our Bayada house because my uncle and his family live there now...I'm sure if I describe the building you will know exactly which one it is.
