We're attempting to pretty up the back lawn-strip (the relatively narrow lawn between the back of the house and the back fence. Today I finished the brick mow-strip running along the inside of the fence, and laid out the bricks that'll be edging the flower/vege garden we'll be putting in on the house side of the lawn

Have you got a self-pollinating feijoa, or will you be needing to get it a companion?

you know what looks cute? Daffodils in your lawn in spring. Does mean that your grass gets real long for a month or so, but every patch of grass is retardly wet during winter and spring in chch, so why not make it pretty!

I dug out little holes and lifted the grass, then planted, then replaced the grass circle and stamped it down. Tip for planting bulbs, you plant them as deep as they are big.
