We've been trying to get signed up with a local Community Supported Agriculture farm for sooooo...loooooong. And we finally get to pick up our first box of fresh organic fruits and veggies a week from tomorrow! I'm really super excited about that

I loved being part of a CSA. There aren't any local around here and it's very disappointing. I always ended up with a box full of things that I didn't grow, herbs I could plant, heirloom tomato plants and pepper plants and lots of extra produce (they always had extra produce that was free for the taking). I am working on having the best food garden in years this year so I can make up for not having a good garden last year and none the year before and to make up for the fact that I am no longer a member of a CSA.

I love the surprises that come in each share, not knowing what delicious things will be there. (totally didn't mean to rhyme!)
I'd end up cooking all sorts of things I never would have tried otherwise.
