I can't imagine that much snow in DC! Amazing. Last time I was there it was 106 and I nearly had heat exhaustion ;). Sounds like a nice visit with family... I hear you on not doing too much venturing out with baby while on vacation. Sometimes with a toddler they actually have more fun with play doh or crayons than they would sightseeing. Glad you had a good time :)

There were insanely tall piles of snow in some places where it had been plowed up. Like eight or ten feet high! And very muddy.

I let him roam around in the lobby a lot. He loved it because there were millions of stairs for him to go up and down, ad nauseum. :)

Good to read an update from you. I was worried about your family after hearing news of that plane crash. But the names didn't match, so ... I hope your brother didn't lose any friends.

Thank you, yeah, that crash...one of the three was my brother's good friend, so that was pretty upsetting. I'm just glad I saw my sister-in-law's update on Facebook that Jason was okay before I saw the news article, or else I would have been terrified of him being one of them.

I'm so sorry to hear that your brother lost a good friend of his. How awful.
