Making stuff, trying not to melt, about to flee to a colder region

Summer is here. It's reached that sad time of year when all of the plants start looking brown, the AC runs night and day, and I have to find new ways of keeping an active child happy without being able to spend much time outside. Upsides? Summer CSA, less laundry, DH isn't teaching classes so his schedule is more flexible.

I can't believe that baby of yours is going to be 3! Not a baby any more, I guess... my best friend's daughter turns 3 on June 6th, I so remember waiting for she and Ansel to arrive!

These three years went by so fast! It was sweet realizing that Ansel was fully into his birthday cake, and his face lit up when we sang to him. I think even last year he was just barely following what was going on.

We had a really nice trip. I caught some kind of flu, probably on the flight home, of course. I've been hardly here ever since. I think I might finally be getting over it a little today.

Sending you good moving vibes. I know it is so overwhelming, and you have all of that other stuff going on, too. My thoughts are with you!

Oh yeah, I didn't get around to seeing Jeff. :( We were just really busy and trying to keep some kind of routine for Ansel. I did send him a note but then wasn't able to follow up with an actual plan. Oh well, hopefully next time.
