Quote of the Day- "The mastermind is not the person standing on the stage speaking, but the one standing in the back, watching it all."Uuugh. I got a letter in the mail about jury duty. Stupid thing said I have to be available for at least 3 weeks beginning July 31st, maybe 4 weeks for the particular trial that is going to be going on at that

There is someone coming to look at it tonight. Hoping-hoping-hoping! ^_^ And my job is actually pretty good. It's just a couple of people at work who want everything emergency and dont stop to think, or if they do, they dont care.

As for the jury duty, it's my understanding that you can opt out of jury duty if you so desire? I can't remember though. However, your company cannot legally hold you at fault for missing that month or so, if you wind up having to serve on the jury. I'm not sure if you know that or not, so I wouldn't sweat it. However, having to sit in a courtroom and pass judgement for a couple weeks on end might not be quite so fun. I think they give you a certain amount of money per day or per week for an extended jury duty, though? *scritches head Can't remember.
And what is sista-chan doing for a summer job? *waves at her repeatedly

That hit me pretty hard cuz she was the last lead I had. But I'm better today. I found another online roommate search page and signed up for that. It seems to have different people on it so here's hoping one of them works out. Otherwise I'm prob going to have to move soon....which wont help much since my 2bdrm is around the price of a mid-range 1bdrm and the one bdrm would be much more expensive with all the features mine has....
But It'll all work out somehow. It always does.

I dont know about the opting out of jury duty part. But they are paying $40/day. I *think* my employer has to "make up the difference" between that and my regular paycheck. Biggest problem is I'm the only one at work who does my job. Plus I'm all about not judging people so I dont want to be on a jury. Plus if I wanted to sit in a boring courtroom all day, I would have went into law. lol.
Becka got a job at McAlister's that's like right down the street from me within walking distance (which is good since she doesnt have a car). There is a graphic design place not far from me either that work uses sometimes. If I get the chance I'm going to see if they need help, considering Becka is interested in art and all.
