why do some circumstances require more prayer than others? this is something ive struggled with. i think deep down i kinda just know the answer, but dont know a real reason for it. Does God have a certain amount of prayers required for certain situations? Do we talk Him into things? Does God just like to make us wait? I think the answer to this ( Read more... )

Wow, that stuff is totally profound. It actually answers one of the biggest questions I've always had.... why do we have to pray hard when God hears us the first time. I mean, I've always had a sense of all this, but this puts it into words that make sense.

wow, good post, probably my favorite ever. it does answer a question that ive always had but never really realized exactly what i wondered. it was always kinda like well if god knows what i want why do i hafta ask for it over and over or even at all, he can see. but then it comes down to we have to show him our faith through prayer before he will answer us. glad i glanced at your page, that really taught me something

Beleif in the potential within ourselves (spiritual or otherwise) truly can bring about some miraculous changes.

"Patience didnt make it into the ten commandments, but it did make it into the fruits of the spirit."

I rather like it, are you the author?

This is Richard (Kyle's dad). I am impressed with the thought that you have questioned this in your life:"Why is more prayer required sometimes", it shows your willingness to grow (that has always been apparent to me ( ... )

I dont mind the intrusion :)
I like how you put it "Therefore, when we hear the Spirit pray, we are really praying to God His own words about our particular situation, and He now responds to our response and brings the answer about according to His perfect will." I think I may have heard you do a teaching on this topic before, because it sounds familiar, I could be wrong though. and I agree it is never the potential in ourselves, but the power in God to do his will.
