I'm commenting on your post at parenting101. I'm banned so I cant reply there. :-)We have the same problem with my son. Needs constant stimulation. He is now a year old and it's still the same thing. All we do is vary what he does from one day to the next. The best thing he enjoys is literally sifting through his toys. We pull out his wheely toy box and take all the toys out and put in the middle of the floor. He goes through exactly what he wants to play with. We've put on music in the background which occupies him too. With his crawling around and following us from place to place it has helped tire him out for longer now. So he can sleep up to a couple of hours twice a day. He was given crayons and coloured pencils for his b'day, and has enjoyed colouring on coloured paper with his older sister.
Maybe taking your son swimming, or letting him go to a nursery a couple of times a week to vary his day?
