My best friend from my childhood is half Saudi Arabian and half Swedish. The only things I caught on about the cultural differences when comparing my dad to hers, was that her dad (and their house) always smelled so delicious. >> As adults (we still keep in touch, gotta love Facebook) we don't really discuss her heritage or her dad (he turned out to be somewhat of a douche) but I've always been interested.
