Summary: How can they be together?
When she thinks about the whole thing rationally, she sees that it is extraordinary and bizarre and complicated. The odds of them coming together must be about one to a zillion. Coming from a perfectly normal family and being a witch, even more powerful than other ones, is unusual enough. Getting to know a man who was believed to be a murderer, who could turn into a dog, and who then died is extraordinary. Bringing him back from the beyond with some deep Arithmancy research should be pretty much impossible.
Yet although his being there with her should be unorthodox and strange and exceptional, the way he is with her is the opposite. There is something raw and primeval in the way he makes her whimper when he hardens her nipples with his lips, in the way she clenches around him when they keen and moan together. No matter what and where they come from, when they move together, in sweat and lust, she knows he is the only one possible for her.
