So, don't ask me why, but I was just randomly thinking about comics today. More specifically, getting new people into comics. And I thought, if someone completely new to Marvel comics were to try to get into them, where should they start? My answer: Avengers Disassembled, and here's why

Hmm. I've never really thought about where to get people into the Marvel Universe via Avengers before. The Disassembled arc/start of New Avengers volume 1 makes a lot of sense though.

Although personally? I always use Joss's run on Astonishing X-men as a gateway drug.

I completely forgot about Astonishing, and now I feel really bad about forgetting about it.

I think in that case then, I would use Runaways and then Astonishing to get someone into comics, then start with Disassembled to get into the big Marvel stories
