This is entirely gorgeous, and I'll be quoting practically the whole fic back at you if I try to pick out my favourite lines, but I especially love this: It was as if she were stitching up a wound, holding the world together with cotton and silk and bone-white buttons. Also, I really love the vividness of your imagery, and the way you define the characters; makes me feel I know them, even though I don't. (You should totally nominate this fandom for Yuletide!)
