What a beautiful story, full of sadness, but ultimately hopeful - and the bond between the brothers, as always, unbreakable.

Thank you so much! :) I'm glad it felt hopeful in the end - that's what I was going for, since... Well, obviously there won't be an entirely happy ending to Sam wanting to fix everything, but... The bond is definitely unbreakable! <3

Anyway, thank you again - I appreciate the comment. :)

What’s important is keeping this together, the status quo, sliding into that passenger seat, getting back on the road and staying there until they figure this out.

This is just so ~them. It fits right in with S5, but I also love how it kind of reflects current canon too, with Sam feeling that he has to redeem himself somehow. I love how you show that so much of that feeling is in Sam's head. Even at the end of the fic, it's like he doesn't really ~get that Dean's not disappointed in him. It's just so, so Sam. (And I love the idea of wee!Sam in a planetarium!)

Yeah, it does kind of fit with current canon! (I hadn't thought of it that way before, but you're totally right. ^_~)

A lot of the time I feel like Sam's guilt is a cumulative thing, you know? First it's Ruby, and the demon blood, and the apocalypse, and then it's his missing soulless year, and then with this last episode, we're reminded that he's been feeling this way even before all of that, maybe for his whole life. :( And you're right, he really doesn't get that so much of it is in his head. I was definitely trying to highlight that here, so I'm glad it worked. ;)

Anyway, I'm glad you liked this, and that it felt like Sam~ ^__^
