It is entirely possible that I just did a search on AO3 for Hannibal fic.

There is currently a grand total of one in existence. Well, apparently AO3 (or more likely, my brain) was broken this morning when I checked because there is QUITE a bit more posted than I previously thought! Which makes much more sense, really. Yes ( Read more... )

I know that while it seems like AO3 is becoming the depository for any all fanfiction of various fandoms, it's definitely possible that the Hannibal fandom has settled elsewhere. Check LJ, DW, tumblr and google around?

No, apparently, I'm just insane - there's way more there on AO3 that for whatever reason I wasn't finding at first. :P (I never search for things by fandom on AO3, so I think I'm just an idiot and... IDEK, skipped 37 pages of entries? I really don't even know, LOL.)

And I know it's big on tumblr, too, I just haven't seen many people on my flist talking about it! And I haven't done that much searching yet... We shall see... :D

How violent/gory is it? I'm really bad at handling live-action violence. =/ (For example, some episodes of Game of Thrones, I spend half the episode not watching the episode and asking "what's happening?")

It's pretty gory. More gory than GoT, definitely. That said, it's not gory/violent for significant portions of the episode at a time? But the general format of the show is that it starts with a pretty gruesome crime scene, which they examine in detail, and lots of times reenact (so that's where the violence comes in >_>) and then at some point in almost every episode there's cannibalism, so... Yeah. You might be turned off by those things. XD;; It's probably not a show I'd recommend to you, knowing what things you don't like ;)

Ah. I appreciate your honesty. =) I am looking for things to fill the summer TV lull, but I'm big baby when it comes to live action violence. ~.~

Looks like a good show! I haven't seen it yet, but I really enjoyed some of the movies. My favorites were Silence of the Lambs and Red Dragon (the first 5 min of Red Dragon == so intense and I really wanted more of that setting than the rest of the movie...I'm hoping the show is like that part. But It sounds good anyways.) Will have to check it out!

Yeah, it's really, really good. *_* I haven't seen Silence of the Lambs in years, and I actually don't think I've ever seen Red Dragon, so I'm not sure how similar this take on it really is? But it makes for a great show, that's for sure. ;) I think you'd like it!
