EMU spent one million dollars to hire a marketing person to come up with a good slogan-type-thing for us so we can gain a bit of a good reputation back after that whole fiasco last year. Guess what they came up with? "Education first ( Read more... )

Haha, that was my first question too. Or what were they *putting* as first before they explicitly decided to say "education first"? Like, was it a *problem*, were they putting other things first instead? Lol.

You just need to see it as EMU turning over a new leaf. Maybe before something like "covering up grisly murders" was first, but now they have had a change of heart (of sorts) ;-D

Except the security really hasn't stepped up much since that thing last semester anyway... I'm pretty sure it's like Education first, spending money on useless things like new slogans rather than rennovating some of the buildings on campus second.

Hahahahaha. That's classic.

It reminds me of London triumphantly unveiling its logo for the 2012 Olympics...after spending MILLIONS of dollars and hiring several special task forces to come up with the PERFECT logo, they ended up choosing this hideously purple monstrosity emblazoned with the word "London".

Apparently, when the logo was publicly released, several people went into epileptic seizures upon seeing it.
