Sigh... that quotation should not be crossed out! It may be mean, but I'm sure that I've said plenty of meaner jokes than that in my life...
Also, on the sofkeepoo thing... last night, we were right that "sauf qui peut" would mean "except those who can." I don't know the context that this phrase was in, but I was thinking about this some more last night after I got home, and then I remembered the idiom "sauve qui peut" which means "run for your life / save yourself / every man/woman for him/herself" which is probably more likely what Sarah was looking for. There's also a related noun "sauve-qui-peut" which means "panic" or "stampede" (of people, specifically). Just thought I'd put that out there.
Yeah, that's what Sarah's dad said last night - that the phrase was supposed to mean the "save yourself" kind of thing.
Also, I knew if I didn't cross it out, Vikram would be mad. Even though *really* there is no evidence in the quotation that you were directing that at him. Heh. You know Vikram is just jealous that he didn't come up with such a mean quote. ;P
Sigh. Yes, I agree. On the one hand, I am sick of being lazy and not doing anything fun but on the other, I really can't do much because my pain medicine makes me drowsy, I can't eat normal foods yet, the more I try to accomplish the more my face swells up like a chipmunk, and I have to continually keep ice packs pressed against my mouth, so I don't think I would be much fun at a party.
Hopefully all of this will go away in a couple of days and I can join y'all in various parties/hangingoutages.
