Today I was coming back from Taco Bell with food and a drink in one hand walking back to my dorm, and I stop to pick up the mail from my mailbox so then I'm juggling all those papers, too. And I go to open the door to the staircase and my hands are full, of course, so I attempt to pull on the handle with my pinky. Of course, this door is a fire

For some reason, when you said "pull open my finger," I had a very distrubing vision of two of your knuckles separating and the skin by them splitting open as the bones came through. I made a very sharp and audible gasp after reading that (drawing some stares) and was so about to jump onto a bus to visit you at the hospital (just to see it, of course ;) ). You scared me there... :P

I hope that description of my vision doesn't disturb you or anything...

Haha. No, nothing quite that horrible, sadly. ;) I am not easily disturbed. I frequently discuss my injuries on the internet, show off my particularly discolored bruises to people, and watch CSI on a regular basis. :P
