[Finally getting a feed started up, Rise's wasting no time in getting to the point of why she's doing this.]

So I've been thinking. It's been awhile since I last tried my hand at cooking something.

Just little things here and there. For now at least.

Well, I know some tofu dishes from working with my grandmother at her shop back home, so I was thinking maybe a few of those. Maybe a curry dish as well. Though I was thinking on looking for some recipe books and seeing what would be easy to make and not mess up on.

Oh, cool! [ She worked with her grandmother at her shop. THIS TOTALLY MEANS SHE KNOWS WHAT SHE'S DOING, RIGHT...? ]

Well, I'm not that great at cooking myself, but I had a friend who...was.

[ Her voice catches on the last word. It's...been a while, but it is still kind of difficult for her to think of Shinjiro-senpai in the past tense. ]

If you want, I can swing by the bookstores to see if they have any of his favorite recipe books that he used to use.

[YES. SHE DOES. Only to a certain point at least.

And just how Yukari sounded at that last word...Rise's not going to pry. Even if she was one to be even the slightest bit nosy, something's telling her that's not something she should really ask about.]

If you wouldn't mind doing so, that would be great! And if they don't, then that's alright.

I was gonna head over and browse for some new books anyway.

[ It passes the time! Mitsuru-senpai had gotten to her, really. And...Yukari appreciates Rise not asking for now, though she suspects the topic might come up again sometime.

Haha, me too. [ Though she kind of hopes she hasn't gotten her hopes up about being able to find those books. Since she still won't know if they'll be there. ]

Oh--where are you staying, Rise-chan? I can stop by with whatever I manage to find, if you like.

[Give her a moment or two. The building name has escaped her right now.]

Ah! Viscus! Second floor, first room.

Viscus... [She repeats, nodding. She remembers passing by that building on her little tour way back then.] All right! I'm pretty sure I know where that is.

[And about an hour later, after Yukari's hit up a couple of her favorite bookstores, she shows up at Rise's door, having found the door to the building unlocked.

She's only got a couple books in her hands--she was distracted by some of the other things she found there, though she didn't end up keeping any of the other books she was looking at. But nevertheless, she knocks, trying not to seem intrusive.]

Ah--hey! It's Yukari.

Sorry, but the door downstairs was open.

[While Yukari had been out doing so, Rise herself had been going around, making sure the place -as well as herself- looked a bit more presentable.

While the place wasn't necessarily something of a mess, she really just didn't want to have things out of place or even the slightest bit of dust around. As for her, it never hurt to look just a bit presentable.

When Yukari arrived, however, Rise was just finishing up straightening the last item she felt needed such before heading towards the door, unlocking what all was locked and opening it wide enough for one to enter.]

That's alright. Come on in.

[A smile, as she takes a step in, immediately examining the surroundings as one is often inclined to do, when placed in a new area. She seems very curious, and moves slowly towards the couch and coffee table she sees nearby.

She turns to look at Rise and holds up the books she's been carrying.]

I think these'll be good to get you started, but there's a bunch more if you wanna go look for yourself sometime. I found a book on spicy dishes that has some curry recipes in it, some tofu recipes--

[Just like she'd said--]

And, er--I found a couple with desserts too, just in case you wanted to try something different. But no obligations, of course.

[With the door shut after Yukari had entered, she took to following, eyes lighting up when she saw the books.

So it was a success. [While she had hoped that Yukari would be successful in finding something, Rise still had kept one part of herself from getting too hopeful. Though that part is so far out of her mind now as she's reaching out to take said books.] And thank you, Yukari-san. I'll definitely be sure to check those out as well.

And please, make yourself comfortable. [It's the polite thing to do, plus she's figuring that Yukari may be a bit tired. Though a pause in her gesturing towards the couch as a thought hit her.] That is, if you're not too busy.

Not at all. [Yukari smiles, setting the books down, and gently sitting down on the couch when Rise gestures to it.]

I-I've been meaning to work on my cooking anyway; maybe this way I'll have someone I can practice with. It'll be nice to do something low-profile for a while.

[Rather than fighting Shadows all the time, and dealing with all these curses Vatheon would throw at them. It gets tiring...]

Oh? [That's gotten her attention as she moves to join the other.] If you'd like, you can join us! [-oh. Maybe she should clarify that 'us', huh?] I mean, myself, Lea-san, Senpai and Fuuka-san.

But I totally understand wanting to just do something that's not so stressful.

[Oh how similar their lives were without them even knowing. Well, kind of. At least the curses and Shadows.]

[It is nice to be able to worry about normal things, like homework and school, rather than Shadows and curses! So she agrees easily enough, smiling and nodding.]

Definitely.

Ah, and it's good you got some more volunteers...! [She wouldn't want to feel lonesome. More the merrier, right?] I know Fuuka's been wanting to work on her cooking, too, so I'm not surprised she was one of 'em.

[She can also guess who senpai refers to. She doesn't know Lea, though...]
