Ribbit croaaaak! Thanks Cynjon! yep- waaay kewl. Loved your house pics! Hope you can get rid of the wasps...we have to battle them every year (outside, under eaves, stinging buggers....) of course, having the pond with a water source is like putting out the welcome mat for all kinds of insects...but we love the water- and Fred does a good job of eating most of the insects- including ridding our entire yard of snails and slugs - which he loves and devours like candy! ewwwwwwww. lolol - we always had snails and slugs (this IS the northwest, of course..lol) but when we got Fred, they disappeared like magic- one night I spotted Fred with my flashlight- he was clear across the yard away from the pond- eating snails! lolol...
Thanks Tara. As to the libraries- as of today, they are still all slated to close on April 6. :((( There is a bill before congress for a one-year extension of the secure rural counties funding act...but so far it is not voted on, and it's attached to another bill....I'm very disillusioned about the state of our country and this area right now...it seems we are in for bleak years ahead... However, in May we have an election with a property tax levy issue for the support of the libraries. But oregon has a double majority law on the books (voted on by the stupid voters (not me!lol) which mean in an 'off' election (not a general election in November), in order for a levy to pass, 50% of the registered voters must turn out to vote, and of those, 51% must pass the levy...in this red-necked ultra conservative area, I'm afraid it might not pass. But...we have had a big population influx in the past ten years of slightly more 'enlightened' folks, so maybe it will...we'll see....it still means the libraries will be closed for a minimum of 6
