Doesn't it make you mad when they forget to tell you things like that? Mine used to take my charges out just after they had sent a statement- so I would go overdrawn by the amount of the charges so they could charge me again next quarter. If it wasn't insecure I'd go for the envelope under the mattress type account!!

Under contract law, if you wish to vary the terms of a contract the recipient must actually read correspondence.

They were right to give in - they wouldnt have had a leg to stand on!

My father was incredulous that I would challenge them!
I think the bank gets away with so much because noone can be bothered to check what they say, and if what they say is right.
