Superbowl Sunday is becoming a big favorite for me. So easy to drive around! Stores to myself!

Seriously! We did laundry and wandered over to a cafe that is normally packed to get a bite to eat. :D

We had a coffeeshop to ourselves! It was SO lovely. We need more "holidays" like this!

Yeah, C. and I went out around 5:30 to get a bite to eat for dinner since B. had gone over to his brother's to watch the game. There was hardly any traffic on the roads, and we literally had Wendy's all to ourselves. Even Wal-Mart, which is next door to the Wendy's, didn't look to have nearly the amount of people it normally would on a Sunday evening, judging by the parking lot.

You just made a comment so you could use that icon, didn't you ;)

Not that I'm complaining, mind.

We didn't take advantage getting out and about ourselves, as the weather was a bit of a deterrent. Instead we got to hear our neighbor hoot and holler through the game. They're normally very quiet, so I didn't begrudge him that.

Lucky thing it wasn't today - we had awful weather today. It would have been a stay-at-home day for us, too.

Yes, well, yesterday and again today, we had a high of 80, in February. I really hate Louisiana weather sometimes.

The package arrived yesterday. Thank you! Yours was among the only wrapped gifts/surprise gifts I received for my birthday. I got money from B.'s grandmother and from my parents, and my gift from B., of course, was my laptop. My cousin, however, such a sweetie, brought me back a beautiful dragonfly perfume decanter from Memphis.

I digress, however...

Thank you for all the Jane Austen themed goodies!

Oh, and Becoming Jane is released on DVD this coming Tuesday! Guess what I'm spending some of my birthday money on? :)

I really like the Superbowl, actually. But here we don't get to see the commercials, which is a source of perpetual frustration.

Without commercials, what's the point, really?

The chips.

Tortilla chips are one of the "standard" items at our house - like milk, bread, paper towels...
