My reasons for wanting to shave my head were not ones born of impulse. I have always wondered what it would be like to be a woman without hair, and admired images of Sinead O'Connor or Natalie Portman when their beauty was left bare to the world, vulnerable. I've toyed with the idea of shaving my head. I dye my hair so often that my hair is a bit crap so I always said that I would shave my head so I could just regrow my natural hair. The ex hated the idea and said he'd dump me if I did (charming wasn't he?) and my hair is quite thick so when I had it boy short when I was younger I never much liked it cause it didn't suit me.
I still would love to, to see what I'd look like, I've just never had the guts.

In a way, I think maybe it takes even more strength to come to this conclusion than just to hack it all off.
