Slooh has been down for a while, something got damaged there by the weather and it takes a while for the engineer to get there to fix it, since he has to fly there first from wherever else in the world he is currently. So it's probably gonna be down for a few more days, but the exciting news are when the engineer gets there besides fixing stuff he' ( Read more... )

I miss the MIlky Way swirl! You can never see it from this hemisphere :(

Now that the summer is coming I can see that area of the sky here, the bottom part of the sky like on the picture I posted, it rises up at about 3am, but I don't see no Milky Way there... the joy of living in a city, too much light pollution :(

Probably half of the problem here too. It's the only thing I miss about the blue mountains, the stars were absolutely spectacular, and the milky way would stretch directly overhead. Beautiful - so many stars your eyes would go funny trying to take them all in...

Yeah, I can't see that many stars at all in the skies here... But since I bought my super huge star gazing binoculars I can see so much more through them :D
