i have to agree with you. american culture is not very friendly, overall, in my opinion. theres no comfort or familiarity ..ever. it kinda sucks. being mexican-american im used to people being very touchy touchy lovy dovy, almost a bit too much. so when i finished my first semester of college having gained or met ANY new friends....i had to scratch my head and wonder.

it didnt help that i was really depressed and frustrated that semester that im pretty sure i drove people away but! the 2nd semester i tried a little and gained a few friends. i have to say, making new friends in that large campus full of unfriendly or shy or godknowswhat people was the hardest thing ive had to do!

oh and then i find my best friend, a cool hippie chick who i just get along greatly with and she flunks out -_-
