"List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your livejournal along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they're listening to."

I love this, bit long at thirteen minutes, but it is absolutely divine, melody is so beautiful, the high notes are so clear and pure, it's religious music and you can tell. It creates pictures in my mind that are so beautiful. It's the type of musi which should be playing when you get stuck staring at the cross when you meant to just glance at it. Or I did this thing once, where we all wash our hands and faces (not in an english church, so I don't know why we did it) and this is the kind of music that should of been playing. It makes me want to be a nun.

Kenickie kamikaze Annelids -http://up-file.com/download/1aa13a268710/03-Kamikaze-Annelids.wma.html
This song is pefection in places, only a minute long and the reason I fell into my Marie du Santiago idolatory last night. I love the way the melody is a bit breathy (does that make sense?)

Spiritualised -ladys and gentlemen http://up-file.com/download/03392f410201/01-Ladies-and-Gentlemen-We-Are-Floating-in-Space.wma.html
Another gorgeous song, there are some cracking cords in this one, I love it, it's so childish in some ways. Like when you were little and you used to sing in groups and each group starts a line later than the next, it feels a lot like that, and because it is such a simplistic repetetive song it conveys something quite lonely I think, in spite of the fact you have different people singing completely different, you get this 'space' feeling, like the song is somewhere very on it's own. I never listen to it with the rest of the album, I usually just listen to it on it's own, because that is where it belongs.

Yeah, I'm not actually that fond of this song, but as with the previous three songs there's this very wide space kind of feeling to it. The notes laddering there way at the beginning creates something very dream-like. There are those notes post the chorus, that make it feel wide open space-ish. It's very clean if you know what I mean, which sorts the begin again theme. Like all the previous songs, there is sort of a washing, re-birth image in it.

'When I was down, you just stood there grinning' has such a horrible macabre image in my head, a world that smiles too hard. 'With the one who tries to hide what he don't know to begin with' is such an awesome line, pretending you know more than you do, first though is having opinions on things you've never seen just so you can keep up when you've not a clue what you're talking about, because you should. And then, pretending you know things and can't tell people because they're 'secrets' when they don't really exist. I love the sort of way it's human faults in this song, and it's not a song 'dis'-ing someone, it's not completely deriding, It conveys very well, wanting to turn people around. Plus the melody is gorgeous.

'How we like to sing along, although the words are wrong'
I love that, I always think of it as wanting to be a part of something, but not quite getting it, like going to a gig and finding out though you thought you'd worked out the lyrics correctly you actually got them all wrong. You know it, it's your song, but it's not, and it's this moment for pause. Or liking a song but it not working for you, a bit like 'the music the constantly play, it says nothing to me about my life'. I also love 'the days that seem to fall though you, well just let them go' creates such a transient air to it all, it's just, well, lovely (<-most overused word in the post)

Time to say goodbye http://up-file.com/download/d8e5ec988132/03-Time-To-Say-Goodbye.mp3.html
Again, not wild about this, quite like it. I love the pizzcato strings under the melody all the way through, it creates a nice progressive air to the lot.

Okay, that's the lot. I don't tag people because it usually starts a 'omg, I have no friends I can tag' panic.
