Hey all.
I'm going to post these on Melband, but thought I'd chuck it here in case there's any musos looking for a guitar amp and/or cabinet.
Randall RGH300 G3 head
Basically, this is a 300 watt hybrid amp head with a single 12AT7 tube in the power amp section. I currently use a Mesa Boogie Dual Rectifier, which is reknown for it's huge, warm hi-gain sound. Obviously a hybrid amp isn't going to sound as good, but it does come pretty close - and in my opinion much more realistic than the Marshall AVT heads. There are two channels - a clean channel and a hi-gain distortion channel with classic and modern voicings. Sometimes I actually wish I could swap the the clean channel with my Dual Rectifier, since it doesn't clip so heavily at high volumes. This amp is clearly geared towards rock and metal, but it has surprisingly great clean tones. Combined with the inbuilt spring reverb, I can get a really smooth jazzy tone out of it. I've found that the biggest advantage with this amp is that the power amp stage doesn't need to be pushed so hard to get a good tone, so its brilliant for practicing at home without blowing your ears out. The reason I'm selling it is that I need a new bass guitar.

It also comes with a 4-button footswitch -
1 - Clean/distortion switch
2 - Gain selection
3 - Reverb on/off
4 - Boost (really handy for solos!)
The amp is in pretty much perfect condition, apart from a small cosmetic dint on the top.
Retail is $1299, I'm selling it for $750 ono.
Marshall AVT412 cabinet
I (stupidly) bought this with the G3 head. It's not a bad cab and works fine at bedroom levels, it's just that the two don't match very well at high volumes, especially when using lots of distortion. The bass frequencies boom like all hell. If you want to use the G3, you'll get the best out of it with a bigger cab with more headroom, like a JCM800 or oversized Ibanez cab. Since the AVT412 is designed for their own line of heads, it sounds perfect with the AVT series and other solid state/hybrid heads.
I'm selling it for $350. This is a discontinued model which was replaced by the AVT412A. To be honest I have no idea what the difference is, although the new one retails for $899.
