I've recently read "The Kind Diet" and "Skinny Bitch", and I'm here to tell you, I'm sticking with this vegetarian lifestyle from here on out. I've flirted with it in the past, but I always avoided learning about the real horrors of slaughterhouses and what eating meat and dairy will actually do to your body. That is so fucked up. Geez. I rarely eat meat and mostly eat grains and fruit/veggies. I also drink lactaid milk for cereal at times. I was looking into the Skinny Bitch book, glad to know that you liked it! I will lean towards the veggie arena for a while and see how it goes. Thanks for the inspiration!

You MUST read Skinny Bitch. It's very in your face with its language, but I appreciate that aspect of it. Chapter Six: You Are What You Eat literally made me have a nervous breakdown. I couldn't handle reading all of the interviews from slaughterhouse employees, but I forced myself to because I knew I was thisclose to being fully committed to this lifestyle and knew that all I needed was that final push. It was the reason I'd avoided the PETA videos concerning slaughterhouses (still have), but I said 'fuck it' and read it. It has completely changed me.

Not to mention, I learned all kinds of nifty food facts. Like you can only eat certain things at certain times of the day, etc. :-)
