That was really weird. At one point, there were three links. Next, the entire chapter appeared as the lj-cut text (Read More...). Now the chapter text is fine, it's just not behind a cut. LJ is being an ass?

(Actually, I think the chapter is your lj-cut text now. I can't quote my favorite parts to you, but the feeling of place, the details, the emotions...all heart-stopping. It felt like a Spuffy Dr. Zhivago.

You're not clueless... you've used cuts before! LJ is just a pain sometimes. They took away the rich text editor too, at least on my unpaid account -- it's hard to remember their custom tags.
