You might find it easier to do it on AO3 where you can download the entire work in your choice of MOBI, EPUB, PDF, or HTML format. Link below (hopefully LJ won't think it's spam; or else feel free to message me):

You're very welcome, and I stand by my statement that the emerging prequel sounds most interesting! :)

I've never copied and kept any other story - don't even usually reread them unless I really, really liked them - but I'm sorely tempted to snag this one. I hate the thought that I won't be able to go back and read it (again!) if/when I want to. Good luck with turning it into something original. I'm sure it will be wonderful.

That should be the whole book.

I was contemplating changing "slayer" to "hunter," but you know, "Slayer" is such a better word. More elegant and sophisticated. Plus, you know, "hunter" doesn't make it clear what's going to happen when the hunter get caught!

I just double-checked to make sure I still had that one saved, as it's always been one of my favorites! And thank you so much for the heads-up, giving us the chance to check on things like that. That story holds a special place in my heart for introducing me to the villanelle, something I'd never heard of before (despite having been an English major in college!).

I meant to add that I can't wait to see how you rework it!

We'll see! I think I'm keeping everything I can in the poetry-teaching sections. (Some are still under copyright, the poems, that is, not the sessions, so I have to figure that out.)

But the opening has to be changed a lot, I think.

I hope when it's done and out there for sale that you'll give us the title so we can look for it.

I will! I'm not sure when that will be, but I'm devoting Feb to the rewrite.
