Well, within 15 minutes of me showing up to work, the manager asked me when was the last week I could take my vacation and when I asked why he said he may have to cancel it. I asked why again and he said that we may get rid of the current Assistant Manager, promote the daytime cashier and get a girl who used to work for him as the new daytime

I am so sorry about them jerking you around again. This totally sucks! You have had your suspicions about this manager and this just confirms them. I am proud of you for standing your ground. It seems to me that it is his responsibility to train her. Asking yourself the question about the possibility of promotion is a good thing. But is just hurts I am sure. Many foul expletives running through my head...
