Yule Goat Letter

Oct 14, 2012 16:44

Hello, I hope you have the most fun looking here and writting your story *my story too ^.^*

So, this letter is divided in several parts, that you can choose to acess or not. The reason I did it is so while you will have options and have a chance of looking through things I may like, you also have the choice to not read some contents that you maybe don’t like much or just don’t write.
If you need even more information, go to the All mighty post.

- Please find out anything you can about my recipient's likes and dislikes/ask my recipient to do a Dear Yuletide Author letter!

I think this is quite covered.

- Please ask my recipient to unlock/actually post their Yuletide Author letter they linked to in their optional details!

This too, my lj is public and all my entries are too.

- Do they like/prefer not to get holiday stories?

So, I’m not a holiday person, and while my family still have lot’s of tradition’s for Christmas (I grew up in a Catholic family) I don’t really like much the season’s flair. You can absolutely write about non-traditional Cristian holidays, thought I’m not sure if they apply to the fandoms I requested. And you can also write stories in that time, around Christmas and stuff, but doing other things or even seeing those celebrations through different eyes.

- Do they like/prefer not to get crossovers/AUs/gender-bending?
So, I don’t like crossovers much, and I have just a few well chosen crossovers that worked for me. And I’m not sure how to fit other fandoms with the things I like, and how much these fandoms need stories of their own. I have a list of fandoms I enjoy here and if you choose a crossover it's good to look there and also at my general likes and dislikes where I talk a bit more about crossovers.

But oddly I love Au’s, specially the one’s that allow for the characters to develop their relationship in different ways: so modern!au, au’s where they meet before or after the timeline of cannon, what if au’s where you mess with cannon and take of some situations. I also like more radical au’s like: cowboy!au, fantasy/fairy Tales!au (Beast and the Beauty, Rapunzel, Red Hood are favorites).

- Do they want dark/fluff/relationship/action adventure?

I don’t reallt like dark, action or adventure much, you can have parts of the story that way, but I do prefer happy endings, fluffy and relationship to read. I like angst, and you can drop the angsty story in my lap if at some point things get better and end with happy ending or least not a super tragic one.

- Are they familiar with the whole series/do they mind spoilers?

I don’t mind spoilers, thought to Catch Trap and Bronte you probably can’t do it. I look trough Teahouse every week, so we will probably be ok on that front too. The only one that is problematic is Darkover, because I don’t know wich part you are considering, but honestly just mark me the novel and I will read before reading the fic, no worries!

Do they really want/need all of their requested characters in the story?
I'm not requesting many characthers, but can of course choose the one's you are most comfortable. In Catch Trap you can write just with Angelo or Tommy or Mario or Bart, or various combos of that Tommy/Bart, Mario/Tommy, Mario/Angelo gen, Bart/Mario/Tommy and even Angelo/Bart. In Darkover, one or the other, or both Regis and Danilo. In Bronte, just the girl or the beasts or both. In Teahouse, Gilder/Lineus or Reed/Rory or the four separated or all together or combos like Gilder/Lineus/Rory.
