So much progress here! I can't believe you started the year using Photobucket tools. The creativity on all of these is crazy awesome, and I love all the recent ones as well as the third one from July.
Good luck with the resolutions/final thoughts, they all sound fantastic! Also my hats off to you if you manage to pull off the second resolution (about not getting offended at LIMS). I'm way too sensitive to even try a LIMS :D I tried once but I got really upset over the votings (more about the elimination of one of my friends/favorite iconers, rather than my own), so after it was over I was like 'yeah maybe this isn't for me'. I far prefer rumbles cause you get the same concrit benefits, yet there's no eliminations so the overall vibe of the competition is not quite as harsh.

Yeah, lims are harsh and I'm normally very harsh with myself, so if I look at the other icons and see better icons, I'm so ok with being eliminated, but sometimes, there is that one icon you love and people put all the flaws and is super hard not to get offended.
I need to do a masterpost from watchicon, I totally forgot and there some icons I love from there. Hopefully you'll see me complete my claim with cool icons!

You are definitely not afraid to try new things, and that is something that it wonderful. I think your progression shows how, through trying all these different elements, you've really developed your skills quite wonderfully. The icons from the later half of the year especially demonstrate the progression you've made.
Good luck with your 2014 resolutions, you seem to know what you want to achieve and that's wonderful. In regards to your LIMS resolution, I suggest checking out turbo_rumble, the feedback that happens when it hosts it's round is generally really strong, and the mod is brilliant at moderating comments to ensure they are always about improving the quality of the icon rather than taste :)
Oh my, more crazy good people commenting here. Thank you so much! I'm very happy people can see how I tried my hand at all things, there are a couple I still need to master, and others to try, but I think I like to have such a diversity.
I'll watch the comm and keep my eyes open, I'm always good to try out other challenges, so maybe it's time to try out another type. I don't think I participated in a rumble yet.
