I went out around 7:30 to get my mail and the sky was that ery yellow it gets in these conditions. Can't find my weather radio. I used to keep it on my end table here but must have moved it at some point. Always had it on in Kansas. I can keep checking things on the computer though. I've scoped out the best location in this house which is the interior hallway. Would just need to go and close the doorways to the two bedrooms which are on the end. My hous is an interior unit too.
Seems to have passed to the south and west of here, so you should be fine, but always scary to hear these things. I've never lived somewhere that had regular tornadoes, so it freaks me out. Sounds like you are quite prepared, as usual.
We had two spells of heavy thunder this morning and then mid-afternoon. This evening's storm seemed to have stalled over Boston, and they actually dropped the watch here around 10:30 or so. It still looks like the storm could curve counterclockwise and come back to shore but probably north of us.
I saw several tornadoes when I lived in Kansas, and there was some heavy destruction about three miles south of where I lived. By us we got bad enough winds that the trees in our high walled courtyard bent to a horizontal to the ground position.
One of the reasons I decided not to continue living out there. And I did actually end up being in a hotel in Ohio, on my way back east, when there was a bad enough storm to uproot small trees.
