I think that the problem is not enough people actually CARE what is going on in the middle east. I'm very pro israel but I see how both sides are screwed up. But shit, I would rather watch a TV drama then some reporters saying some shit that just may not be true. Our media lies to us so much, so cutting the show IS rediculous if they are not going to even be giving out THE RIGHT INFORMATION. Arg.

From my experience in the US, I would have to agree with you about people just not knowing or caring about what happens elsewhere. And, while I'm a big CSI fan(atic) myself (I even have the computer games) I'd have preferred knowing about Arafat's death (or Sharon's for that matter) considering the MASSIVE repercussions it will have. Then again, everyone knows I'm obsessive about this stuff. LOL
Just out of curiosity, what led you to choose to support only Israel? I know for some it's a religious thing, for others it's political, etc.

There are a lot of reasons why I'm considered "pro israel" but mostly I guess, because I was raised Jewish - went to a jewish day school for 9 years (K-8th grade) and went to a jewish high school on sunday mornings all thru high school - BUT there is so much more to it. SO much history, and I have feelings about Israel that I can't even really explain. maybe we could talk in IMs about it sometime??

I'd love to!!! :-) I know my own feelings regarding Irish nationalism are far more complex than simply religion or nationality as well, so I kinda know what you mean.

Jesus, Mary, Joseph and the wee fucking donkey! What the FUCK is wrong with people? You are spot on about there being reruns "ad nauseum" as you so aptly put it. I'm a fan of the original CSI series, not so much so the Miami version, though the one firearms specialist with the lovely southern accent always makes me think of you. LOL Hmmm...
