Another wierd food item

So, what is this?
I saw them in Philadelphia's Chinatown area.  No, they are not dried demon's heads.  I don't think so, at least.

Are they the really small ones? We tried grape tomatoes, but they cross-pollinated or something, and we got odd results that were too big to be grape and too small to be Roma. I'd love to have those tiny cherry tomatoes, but since I hardly do any actual vegardening, I have only an advisory say in what is grown.
