EXCITED (sorry if you alread read the email!)
I've bought three round trip tickets for weekends in the next two months and am really getting pumped up!
Not this weekend, but the one the weekend of April 6-10 (yes, I am skipping two classes!), I'm going to go with my friend Aimee on my program to Brussels, and while we're there, we're going to go to Bruges and Amsterdam. Because I have a crazy weird life that works in strange ways, we will be staying gratis because three weeks ago, and two days after Aimee asked me if I wanted to fly with her to Brussels and then get to Amsterdam from there (it's a lot cheaper that way!), I was walking home from hip-hop class and found some lost Americans on my street corner. Turns out they're both IL natives studying in no other than Brussels! Thinking of showing them their way quickly and ditching them to go eat some healthy (but possibly VERY strange) Ana-cooked-creation, I decided to walk with them a few blocks and then say goodbye. Yeah, the ditching part didn't happen haha! I had so much fun with them the first few hours walking around my neighborhood and sitting in a cafe, that in the end I went out to dinner with them and then later to a club to dance until 6 am - that's how they do it in BCN! So yeah, ANYWAY, they're really great guys, Rob and Will, and I did mention that Aimee and I were planning on passing through Brussels so Rob invited us to stay with him (Will lives with a host family). They will be our tour guides - I can't WAIT!
My second trip is going to be . . . PARIS!!!! I will travel two weekends after the Brussels trip to the beautiful FRANCE (these are coordinated with my Physics lab that is every other week on thurs). I was supposed to plan this trip to meet up with Marielle for SURE there since she will be there all this semester, but ALAS, Ana can be a little crazy at times and after asking Marielle which of two weekends would be best for HER, Ana ended up booking a third weekend she hadn't even mentioned before! Marielle will be in Greece for (probably) the entire time (I will have to see if she gets back Sunday evening before I leave at 11 pm-ish). HOWEVER all is not lost, in fact it is still VERY MUCH exciting because MONICA will be meeting me in Paris. The truth is, we had been talking about meeting in Paris for several months, and so we booked it (me trying to see Marielle without luck). So Monica and I get out romantic weekend in Paris (... I'm kidding about the romantic part!).
The third trip . . . I JUST bought the ticket today, and I've decided that it is SOOOO incredably exciting that I'll choose not to disclose information about it at this time. However, when i FINALLY get my pictures online (that aren't the ones I put up months ago from September), YOU WILL KNOW!! (ps- if you DO know, DON'T spoil my fun!)
