Is there going to be any definite action to benefit people in Darfur? A fundraiser, or some sort of campaign involved?

One of the main speakers is with the CT branch of Save Darfur.

The idea is to start with a free event designed to raise awareness, and let people know what they can do to help. While there are some mini-fundraisers going on during the event in the way of things sold with proceeds being donated as well as donations being accepted, one of the biggest aims (as I understand it)is to get through to people what is happening and what needs to be done to stop it.

I don't think I can make the trip this weekend, but I'm curious about it and pleased to know this class is taking positive action. Good luck to the kids.
