Not entirely hypocritical, no. It's completely understandable, well from my perspective anyways.

Hopefully there's a possibility of you hanging on to some semblance of faith for the rest of humanity though, not everyone is such a butthead.

Losing faith in relationships, friendships and people in general is some times easy to gain back by finding the right ones (which happens to everyone, no matter how long the wait is). Some times it's not always in front of you, and you have to do some self-searching before you can find out what that answer is. Other people can't make you truly happy, you have to be happy within yourself first - because if you're not happy within yourself all other people are going to do is let you down. Apparently you've learned this the hard way, but hey, who doesn't?
