I just made my first contribution to bash.org. It's not that funny, but it's a good excuse to read
some other, funnier quotes. Hours of fun!
Edit: The good folks at bash.org correctly identified that my quote was unfunny, and rejected it in a humane act of benevolence. You can still enjoy those who did pass moderation, though, since they truly are

knew this was the sort of comment about my comment that you would make.
your hope was vain though. it's still pending moderation and there has been at least one another reader that manifested itself.
as for bash.org in general, the russian version (bash.org.ru) is imho funnier.

OMGz. I cried & tired to choke it all down.
The rest of the students around me are looking at me with:
1) envy & hate (they know it's funny, but they're busy studying)
2) sympathy (they know it's funny & that I'm not studying at all & it will hurt me later)
3) sympathy & offered Kleenex (they are polite & concerned grlz). I put it to good use.

Some of these are really quite funny.

It's still pending!
How will we be able to admire your wit from afar?!
(but I guess it's okay, at least you're one of the "915 quotes pending")
also,
I'D LIKE THAT HOUR BACK NOW, PLZ.
You know, like cigarettes - there should be a suitable warning on posts like this one.
also2 - I'm sorry I won't be able to do this in RL:
[Guo_Si> Hey, you know what sucks?
[TheXPhial> vacuums
[Guo_Si> Hey, you know what sucks in a metaphorical sense?
[TheXPhial> black holes
[Guo_Si> Hey, you know what just isn't cool?
[TheXPhial> lava?

However, since the quote really wasn't very funny (really, I'm not just saying that), and I never thought it'd be held for moderation for such a long time, during which its funniness has decreased exponentially as funniness always does with time, I think it'd be best if you stopped checking on it to avoid the inevitable disappointment. I assure you all that if it was in any way worthy, I would've posted the quote in its entirety in this here very journal. So just, you know, let it go.

yeah, sure, we can do that. ot not :)
I can't decide wich one makes me giggle more
(though it's not actualy a "funniness" factor
as much as being able to imagine the expressions of the folks involved):
[tatclass> YOU ALL SUCK DICK
[tatclass> er.
[tatclass> hi.
[andy\code> A common typo.
[tatclass> the keys are like right next to each other.
or
[Fulgore> whats the complement to a 43 degree angle?
[sparks> My you're looking "acute" today
[Fulgore> fuck you

By the way, to get angle brackets without LJ flipping out you can use < for "<" and > for ">" (less-than and greater-than, respectively).

I've been reading it for over 4 years now, and even posted a few (with only 6 making it through moderation, and only one having a decent score).
I wouldn't say the russian one is funnier, I don't think they're comparable. Totally different humor, totally different population.
