It's not like I blog all that much, but recently LJ feels a little outdated for me. I'm trying some alternatives, mainly this one here on wordpress.com. So, you know, adjust your RSS readers or whatever (friend list? what's that? is that like RSS, but from the 90's?).

So make your LJ syndicate your blog, dammit. I don't do RSS and I'm not going to start now. Barely have time for my current wastage of time as is.
Sometime, I'll write the post I've been planning for quite a while now, about why I don't like independent blogs.

I'll see if I can do that, but you realize you're fighting against progress, right? RSS has already won. LJ friendlists have already lost.

By the way, you can easily replace your LJ friendlist with something completely equivalent using RSS (LJ blogs publish their own feeds), with the added bonus of being able to get content from non-LJ sources (hark!). I heard there are a few of them out there that might even be more interesting than my blog.

So why don't you like independent blogs, again?

I don't want RSS. I don't want RSS for the simple reason that it will be SO easy for me to get carried away with it. RSS is TOO easy, and what with me being a bit obsessive - I'll be busy trying to overcome the unread feeds stack all day long. And I really don't have the time for it ( ... )
