Wow. Pardon me for barging in here, but I followed a link from MB's lj. I kinda missed out on the heyday of FMA fandom, and may do the same with DGM. Always a day late & a dollar short... :-)

Anyway, it's always nice to see people whose writing I enjoy & respect stand up for people, and stand against folks whose heads have gotten too big for them. (I originally typed that ruder, but decided to aim for caution in a new lj...)

Anyways, I've been appalled by the meta I've been reading from these 2, and am encouraged to know there are still thoughtful, polite, articulate people out there.

I will thank you for linking to a couple of these posts which I had read in the past but held my tongue against. It's not my fandom, not my journal, but I do hate to know that some people are getting dumped on with the nebulous goal of improving a fandom. I suppose that makes me a wanker too (and a care bear) for wishing I had said something then, but oh well.
