My ex, Heather, unfortunately passed away.  I'm not going to go into the details, you don't want them, even if you did then you wouldn't be getting them from me

I am not going to say I know how you feel because I have been very lucky and death has not been a part of my life for a very long time. I really have to search to find someone who has been close to me who has died and there are none. I don't know if that is because I refuse to get close to anyone so I don't have to feel the pain of lose or if it is just because I have been lucky.

You know that I am here for you to talk to if you need and I am here to not talk to about it if you don't. I am also here for back scratches too.
