So yesterday was . . . really something. o_O

I wish I could say I was surprised, but this has been coming for a while. I wish I could say I watched in disbelief, but I've long been a believer in "When people show you who they are, believe them."

You and I both went through security and a metal detector when we visited the Holocaust museum, remember? These guys had guns....interesting how all of the security turned around and pretended they saw nothing

It made me both sad and frightened to see the country I love dissolve into further, yes further, chaos. I know that there will be no punishment for the insurrection, a terrorist insurrection, unlike when a peaceful protest outside the capital with BLM followers were gassed and locked up.

These thugs were LET in by cohorts, I believe. Then selfies were taken as they buddied up with them.
I have visited many government buildings in D.C. and there is no way you could get in so freely as these people did.
I would love to see Trump impeached as per the 25th amendment, but they won't. They won't arrest his followers, but if you or I did it, we would be in prison for years

Yeah, there were definitely some sympathizers amongst the security forces that day. At this point, I'm hoping that justice will be served where that whole situation is concerned...

And fingers crossed that the Senate trial will actually end in a conviction this time, oy.

Well said. I wish the impeachment trial could have happened before the inauguration, but I hope they still do it after he leaves office. If only to dissuade future wannabe autocrats.
