I got my second COVID-19 vaccine shot on Tuesday! :D

Since I appreciated seeing other folks' tales of post-vaccine side effects, I thought I'd share as well. I got Moderna, since side effects seem to vary a bit from brand to brand.

Today marks eight years with Hana!

She continues to be an adorable cuddler, she is such a sweetheart, and she and Maia regularly cuddle on the bed at night while I'm sleeping. ♥

I became eligible for the vaccine on Monday, which kicked off a week of frustrating page refreshing and trying in vain to score an appointment. My best hopes seemed to be Wednesday at noon, when a new bunch of appointments for the county's mass vaccination sites became available.

Maia paid her yearly visit to the vet on Tuesday and has a clean bill of health across the board. She has lost some weight since last year, so I'll be keeping an eye on that; the vet said she's still in a good range and her bloodwork is all solidly normal including the thyroid marker, so he didn't voice any concerns about that. Ten years ago on a Wednesday a tortie-cat magically appeared on my doorstep. I paid off my mattress this weekend!! :-D It feels a little ridiculous that it took me two years to pay off a balance that was like a third of my car loan (which took me three years, I think?) but I had five years interest-free so there was no hurry thus I didn't hurry, haha. First, about my car: the mechanic spent a while on Monday trying to get the power steering to die again and it refused to do so. So they have an idea or two about what might have gone wrong, but aren't confident enough in any diagnosis to start replacing things.
