While a week in the sun and sand sounded nice, Gabrielle was packing for the Mediterranean, not the Bahamas, and since that meant traveling light, there wasn't much more to pack than her usual small satchel. Kyle had only been walking by, but then he caught a glimpse of Gabrielle and backed up. "Packing for the Bahamas?" he asked from the doorway.

"Yeah, George talked me into it." Which was to say, George said there was a trip and that it'd be fun, so Kyle asked where to sign. One day that really wasn't going to end well for him. It was absolutely a misunderstanding. That description worked pretty well for Gabrielle too; after all, they'd worked out their differences with the machine, and it was still in one piece and didn't seem to be holding a grudge. Which was a good thing, since she didn't have too many wardrobe options.

"Of course it was meant for you," she assured him. "I made a very specific point of putting your name on the order form . . . except I think I forgot to put it on the note, didn't I?"

She eyed the contents of the satchel and decided nothing crucial was missing. "Home's Greece, and --" She tilted her head toward her phone, plugged in to charge on the nightstand where it was likely to stay. "Thousands of years in the past from now."
