Sore sore sore!

Yesterday I met L at a park across the street from where her kids do Karate. She talked me into at least starting a walking routine regimen. I'd like to walk for 20 minutes a couple of times a week, and then again on Saturdays. Her company is one of those really big companies that has stuff like day care and a gym. So she's got a personal ( Read more... )

You sound a lot like me! I know I should exercise but I DESPITE it. I really want to try and start though, as I've *got* to lose some weight.

Also, I'm sure you know, but CatsPlay offers a lot of pet strollers. If you decide to order, and use this private code (twittermarch), you will get $10 off an order of $100 or more.

I've got to lose weight too. I'm like 60 pounds overweight, and I just FEEL heavy. I think what really worsened my legs is I have fucking stairs in my apartment. And I go up and down my stairs a lot. I was dying!

Thanks for that code! I've actually got two I'm looking at on your site. I'm waiting to see what kind of a bonus I get when I do finally get a bonus. Hopefully next month.

I'm leaning towards the Kittywalk Royale One Touch Pet Stroller. It looks big enough for Vlad and it looks the most like an actual stroller. LOL, at least I can stroll with them and I won't get odd looks by people just passing by in their cars.

I'm about 60 - 70 lbs overweight as well. *sigh*

The Kittywalk products are really nice. Excellent quality.

The last time I got on the scale was about 3 weeks ago, and I was about 190something. Gah! What pisses me off the most is, I was a steady 134-140 for almost 10 years! Then I had to move out of one apartment because they were doing a condo conversion. I wound up moving into a condo that belonged to a then co-worker. She said she was fixing it up, and demo'd the kitchen right before I moved in, which was stupid because her boyfriend who was a contractor suddenly got busy! I lived in that place for almost 9 months with no kitchen, drywall unfinished in the bathroom, a rocking toilet, and boxes filling my bedroom and walk in closet. I gained a lot of weight living there, because I really couldn't cook anything other than microwave stuff ( ... )

Sounds brilliant! Remember warm up and you will soon be fine. Does a pet stroller allow the cat to walk too? - it would be great for them.

Oooh! Just looked at the product - what on earth? Never seen anything like this - great for those tiny little dogs that want to go for long walks but cant because of their little legs!
If your cats accept a harness you could take them to a park or open space with this to explore - wouldn't they love that!

This is the one I'm looking into, http://www.catsplay.com/kwalkroyale.php3

I like that it looks like a regular stroller, and it has cup holders. I can take water for me and them.

The problem with the harness, is that all but one of my cats have been indoors since they were kittens. So they are strangers to the outdoors and get easily frightened. Also, I don't get a whole lot of company, so strangers also frighten them. Having them in the stroller will bring them a bigger sense of comfort and safety.

All of them may not like it. I'll have to take them out one by one, and then see who seems to like it and who seems stressed out.

Yeah, I can appreciate warming up, but what killed me was the squats and lunges. My legs just aren't used to so much.

The stroller is just for them to sit in there. They can take in the outside without any danger to them, and they will feel safe. I've tried to harness them and let them walk outside, but they get really spooked, especially when they see dogs.

With the stroller, they will feel safer and actually be safer. If someone is walking a dog and they get lose, at least the stroller can protect them, and if they are spooked they won't run away. I'd like to buy like a blanket, so that I can just put it over them if I see them getting over-stimulated.

I hope you are feeling better today!
It really is good to work up to that kind of work out!
But you are young enough (I would think) to bounce back in a day or two.... I hope so!

Oy, still not feeling great, but I'd like to maybe walk for about 20 minutes when I get home. Maybe that will help work the kink out. I need to get myself used to at least going out 2 or 3 times a week. I can't just do it on Saturday.

Even if you just get out for ten minutes... then a longer walk on weekends wouldn't be such a shock to the system! Of course I'm a fine one to talk: I live near the beach which is supposed to tempt me to walk on every fine day, but in fact it is hard for me to find the time!

At least you are a lot more active than me! You do your meditation, and do you still do your aqua exercises? You go to conventions, and go an do stuff out of your apartment. I'm like totally sedentary.

There is this neighborhood around where I live that is pretty quiet. I think I'll just take a walk around there. See how it goes.
