Egg yolks

I've been making these protein pancakes in the mornings, using egg whites. I hate throwing away the egg yolks and have been trying to figure out what to do with them. I decided to just try making a quiche just with the yolks. It worked ( Read more... )

oh that sounds delicious... and high in calories/cholesterol! lol
Of course after seeing 'Julie & Julia' I've gained new respect for the high cholesterol foods which are the staple of French cuisine!

LOL, well yes that is the downside. But I felt bad just wasting those yolks! I figure, as long as it's not something you eat every day it's okay. I can easily freeze some of the slices and bring them to work.

Next time I'm going to try soy milk instead of the whipping cream.

Oh I agree, it is important to be able to enjoy things occasionally without guilt! Eating healthfully is great for every day, but everyone needs to be able to enjoy some rich delicious food on occasion!
